Preparation for the Engagement of a lifetime;

I ain't gonna be sugar coating nothing, just fyi.

There were so many times I was on the verge of a breakdown, not even kidding you.
I just felt like I didn't get much help and the people who were supposed to be supporting me wasn't and was so against what my choices were for everything and so on and so forth.

What are the things I needed to consider for my engagement, you ask? (ok you didn't ask but i'm gonna just tell you)
  1. Number of people (who and who and who to invite) -found in this post-
  2. What kind of food and for how many pax
  3. Venue (though it was never really a problem) -found in this post-
  4. What gifts to give (we didn't exchange much though) -found in this post-
  5. MUA (make up artist, for those who might not know what it means) -look out for the next post-
  6. The dulang (gift trays) -found in this post-
  7. What timing is the most suitable (with concerns of prayer timings)
  8. What was I going to wear?? -look out for the next post-
Invited (and non invited) Guests
So we decided to have it more intimate, just family and a few friends. Lucky for us we have alot of friends in common so it was more of a kill two birds with one stone kind of invite with the friends bit.

Gifts
When it came to the gifts, we both agreed that we were not gonna exchange so many gifts (all that we can do when we are already married) so this was how it was:

He gives her She gives him
Ring
+
Duit Hantaran
Watch
Cake Cake
Arrangement
of white roses
Her undying love
(HAHAHAHAHA)

Gift Trays
For our gift trays, we did a mini project together (only two, one for him and one for me).
We went to daiso and managed to purchase most of the stuff from there.

These are actually brown wood, we spray painted them a matte white.
Only $2 per piece!!

Spraying them to be as white as snow~

We bought some stuffing from daiso as well..
We also got small squares and stacked them up to give some height.

Not forgetting the baby's breath!!!!

DISCLAIMER:
These were definitely all not done within a day, we ain't superhumans k.

But anywaaaays, are you ready to see the finallllll product of only about $10 per gift tray???

DRUM ROLLLLLLL PLEAAAASE

So these were the final products~

Venue
For the venue, it was easy.. We used my late grandmother's house, which now and has always served as the family house. I call it my family's personal holiday bungalow (haaaaaaahaha). It's big and spacious enough to fit anybody and everybody, so it was the perfect place!!

Okay so for now, that's all I'll be telling you.
Of course I'll have a post of what I wore and the TORTURE I had to go through doing it.
and and and my wonderful MUA who is
AHMAAAAZING.

Xx,
Farah Tiara Charles

I'm really staring to wonder if anyone actually reads this blog, lol.
I doubt even my own fiance has gotten onto reading it though...
It's actually quite fun, infact.. It's almost reliving my engagement all over again.
